Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Ticket Portal

Remembrance 9th of November 2025

The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway will hold its annual service of remembrance on Sunday the 9th of November to honour the fallen in past wars and conflicts.

The service will take place at Woody Bay Station commencing 10:45 followed by the two minutes silence at 11:00. The trumpeter will then sound 'The Last Post'.

After the Remebrance Service, Henry the fundraising dog will be presented with two further medals recognising his work.

Service trains will operate at 11:30 – 12:15 – 13:30 – 14:15 hauled by 'Lyn'.

Axe, a former WW1 locomotive will be on display in the platform.

The West Country Tommies, WWI Re-enactors, will be present.

Our tearoom will be open from 10am - 2pm with light refreshments available for purchase.
