The L&BR Steam Gala September

For the 2016 gala we saw LYD return to Woody Bay from the Ffestiniog Railway.

Both Saturday & Sunday were windy and it rained on Sunday Morning.

Over the two days we saw 5 engines in steam and approximately 2000 people attended the Gala.

 Friday’s footage includes John Uphill’s loco FAITH as well as stock movements ready for the gala.

On Gala Days at Woody Bay we see LYD, ISAAC, CHARLES WYTOCK, AXE & FAITH.

We see various passengers riding The miniature railway over both days of the Gala.

LYD & ISAAC with the heritage stock are seen from various vantage points.

Axe is doing the Guards Van Rides. CHARLES WYTOCK can be seen hauling the South African Goods Stock as well as Mixed Goods on the Sunday.

We end the Steam Gala with a trip from Killington Lane to Woody Bay onboard Isaac.
